City Municipal Council clears footpaths


The Ramanagaram C.M.C. is now concentrating on clearing the encroached footpaths in the town. C.M.C president K.Seshadri (shashi) has taken serious note of footpath encroachments. Ramanagaram being a distric headquarters now, he wants the dignity of the district headquarters to prevail.

To begin with the C.M.C. president himself lead a team of officers and workmen to clear the encroachments on the ever busy Magadi Road. People from all quarters of the society have lauded the efforts of the C.M.C.

Election: It will be tough for mischief mongers


Ramanagara District Deputy Commissioner Mr.V.Ponnuraj has said the election commission has issued strict guidelines to curb any mischief during elections on May 10. 16 companies of Central Forces will be deployed in the district he said.


No person with out his election identity card can cast his vote, the deputy commissioner has repeated. How ever if a voter doesnot have his election identity card he can produce any valid document with his photo as proof and cast his vote. The alternative proof includes, pan card, driving licence, bank pass book with photo etc.

B.J.P., Congress, J.D.S gears up their election campaign






Ramanagaram is now in poll fever as the contestants of the three major political parties geared up their election campaign today. Ex Chief Minister H.D.Kumara Swamy did a whirlwind tour for the second day. More than he asked for votes, he promised the voters to solve their personal problems in two months.


Congress candidate Mamatha Nicchani to campaigned in Ramanagaram town. She was hopeful of her win. She opined that voters greeted her warmly when she visited them seeking votes.


B.J.P. candidate M.Rudresh toured the rural areas, while her wife S.Manjula walked around few extensions inside the town and seeked votes for her husband.

H.D.Kumara Swamy begins his canvass in Ramanagara


Ex Chief Minister H.D.Kumara Swamy began his election canvass in his home constituency Ramanagara after offering his prayers to the village diety in Kempanahalli in Kasaba Hobli. Because of the strict election code of conduct he was accompanied with very few members from his party.

Later in the day he addressed voters at Madapura, Sugganahalli.

Now an A.T.M and a post office branch in Ghousia Engineering College campus.

Ghousia Engineering College in Ramanagara is known for its excellence in academics and facilities provided to students. Its sprawling campus with importance to greenery is awesome.

The college campus now has an A.T.M. counter and a post office branch. State Bank of India has commenced its A.T.M. counter and the Post Office its branch.

Today Principal Chief Post Master General of Karnataka Circle inaugurated the Post Office Branch, while Chief General Manager of State Bank of India inaugurated the A.T.M. counter. College Principal Dr. Mohamed Haneef, Founder of Al-Ameen Movement Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, President of Ghousia Industrial & Engineering Trust Mr. Zahedulla Meccai and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Apart from these activities the 1st Semester B.E. classes were also formally inaugurated today.

Government Engineering College in Ramanagara soon!
Ramanagara being the Karnataka Chief Ministers constituency is receiving utmost importance regarding development. Crores of Rupees is being spent for the development of Ramanagara. The Chief Minister has decided to make it a model District Head Quarters. Very soon Ramanagara will get a Government Engineering College!
