Alleged robbery, four arrested, gold jewelery, vehicles worth Rs 18 lakh seized

Ramanagaram: 6th July 2022:
Channaptna Rural police have arrested 4 accused who were wanted by 9 police stations including police stations in  Ramanagara District  and Bengaluru city. 
3 of the 4 accused are from Bengaluru City,. Mani a resident of Madanayakanahalli, Renuka Kumar from Girinagara Viji alias Vijay from Basavanagudi, Shiva alias Shivaprasad from Kukkurudoddi in Maddur Taluk are the accused.
The arrested are accused as chain snatchers. Police say they have recovered 315 grams of gold ornaments and 7 two wheelers, both worth Rupees 18 lakhs. The accused were wanted by Channapatna rural, Ramanagara Rural, Satanuru, Talaghattapura, Jnanabharathi, Chandralayout, Subrahmanyapura, Kengeri, and Girinagara police stations.

How were they caught?
On June 30, 2022 around 5am, all the four accused are said to be ambushing with weapons near Kengal in Channapatna Taluk. Immediately after getting this information from  reliable sources, the Channapatna Rural police raided and were successful in taking all the four into their custody. The accused have revealed chain snatching and thefts during the enquiry. 
Superindent of Police Ramanagara District Mr Santosh Babu in pressmeet praised CPI T.B.Shivakumar, PSI Liaquat Ulla, Basavaraju, Manohar, ASI M.Raju, Cops Venkatachaliah, Shivakumar, Mallikarjun, Chethan, Siddagangappa, Hanumantha Shetty all from Channapatna Rural Police Station  for arresting the notorious chain snatchers. DySP Mr Ramesh was present in the pressmeet.

MNAREGA - Women selfhelp groups to maintain nurseries



 Ramanagaram: The Zilla Panchayat here is in news again! ZP officials have again come up with an innovative idea to develop nurseries under MNAREGA scheme and hand it over to the women selfhelp groups to develop it and earn money. 

The ZP has created 9 nurseries in Ramanagara District and handed over them to women SHO's. The members of SHO's are too keen to develop these nurseries, sell the saplings and help their lively hood.

100 years: Vasavi Temple, Ramanagaram

 Sri Kanyapakarameshwari Temple, also know as Sri Vasavi Temple at M.G.Road, Ramanagaram, Ramanagara District in the state of Karnataka, India has completed 101 years. 

Sri Kanyakaparameshwari is the caste goddess for the Arya Vysya community (known as Komati also).

The Arya Vysya community in Ramanagaram has decided to celebrate Centenary for 3 days begining 21st February 2021 till 23rd February 2021. 

The community members have collectively renovated the temple. The 40 feet Raja Gopuram with various gods and goddesses is re-painted. The floor and walls inside the temple is now laid with granite stones. The stone pillars are water washed to regain its original looks. The entire temple is uplifted with modern amenities. 

Arya Vysya community in Ramanagaram is unitedly maintain a Higher Primary School (Vasavi Vidyanik
ethana) and a choultry (Sri Kannika Mahal) under the registered trust Sri Vasavi Vidyanikethana Trust. 

 

The community had decided a grand celebration in the month of April 2021,  to mark 100 years of existence of this temple. But due to the Covid Virus and lock down, the Arya Vysya community has decided to celebrate centenary this year.

Flower Show at Ramanagaram

On eve of 70th Republic day, the Horticulture department had organised  flower show at Junior Collage Grounds ar Ramanagara. The show was attractive. The model of Kengal Hanumantharaya Temple made out of Rose and Chrysanthemum flowers was special attraction.




Bangalore Mysore National Highway 275

Officials in the highway department disclosed the land required for expansion of the Blr-Mys NH275 is on acquisition mode. Around 85% off land is with the department.
